Good Day Nursing Fellows =)

A quick sharing here..

It was the first tutorial for the
module Professional Issues In Nursing
And Practices.

It was a casual and comfortable tutorial
and what we had to do was to share with
out group mates and of course our lovely
tutor on the following:

1. Why did you choose nursing?
2. What is the response from your family and friends?

Interestingly I am into my fourth year
studying nursing [NYP 3 years + 1st year in NUS]..

These questions are ALWAYS or should i say
OFTEN asked.

My answer was:

My aunt is a nurse, has been an inspiration,
and 3 years in nyp further reinforce this calling.
Assisting the sick into the path of recovery.

Well, my parents caution me about the “dirty”
stuffs you need to do [cleaning people].

Well, a lecturer in nyp shared with the students
that nobody likes anybody to clean their A**
BUT because they are not fit to do it, you are
in fact doing mercy for them.

Can you imagine yourself dirtying your pants
and you have no energy to clean yourself?

The feeling is !@#$% right?

Anyway back to the topic, some of my other
group mates shared that it was the career prospects,
wanting to help, making a difference in someone’s life etc.

It was a aha! moment for me that,
there is a new generation of nursing in
the incubator now. [Not that I am old!]

To me, the nursing profession is on track to
a greater height!

Kudos!

Take care =)
